This is a popular Jamaican appetizer. Saltfish can be prepared the day before for a quicker cook time. These are also good served with a spicy dipping sauce.

Saltfish Fritters
  • 1 bag Grace Seasoned Mix for Saltfish Fritters
    (Buy Now)
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • 1 stalk escallion, chopped

  • 1 ½ cup water
  • 1 cup vegetable oil

    • Pour grace seasoned mix for saltfish fritters into a medium bowl.
    • Add tomato, escallion, onion and 1 ½ cups water to mixture and
combine thoroughly. Allow mixture to sit for 10 minutes before frying.
    • In a large skillet heat vegetable oil.
    • Using a tablespoon or large spoon, pour batter into heated oil 1
tablespoon at a time to form small individual fitters and fry until golden
brown on one side, then turn and continue frying until the other side is
      also golden brown.
    • Allow fritters to drain on absorbent paper towel to remove excess oil.
