This easy Jamaican Gungo Peas Soup is so delicious and hearty, perfect for the colder months.


cream of gungo peas soup
  • 1 can Grace Gungo Peas (Buy Now)
  • 2 cups Grace Coconut milk (Buy Now)
  • 1 sachet Maggi Season-up All Purpose Powered Seasoning (Buy Now)
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 1 onion diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 scotch bonnet minced
  • 2 stalk scallion sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste


        • Heat oil in a medium sized pot
        • Sauté onions garlic scallion and Grace Gungo Peas
        • Add Coconut Milk and let simmer until peas soften
        • Remove from heat and blend on high until smooth
        • Place back on heat and let simmer
        • Add scotch bonnet pepper, salt, and All Purpose Seasoning
        • Let simmer an additional 10 minutes
        • Add water if too thick and serve immediately
        • Enjoy
